Young Frankenstein is a classic comedy directed by Mel Brooks that parodies the classic horror genre. The movie follows the story of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, as he inherits his grandfather's castle and attempts to continue his work in reanimating the dead. With the help of his hunchbacked assistant Igor, his fiancée Elizabeth, and a few other eccentric characters, he creates a monster of his own. Along the way, the film pokes fun at the original Frankenstein films through slapstick comedy and absurd plot points, all while paying homage to the original films. In the end, the monster that Frederick creates is accepted by the townspeople and ultimately he finds love and purpose in life.
