Dawn of the Dead is a 1978 horror film directed by George A. Romero and written by Romero and John A. Russo. The film follows four survivors of a zombie apocalypse who take refuge in a shopping mall, where they must battle both the zombies and the other survivors who are determined to take control of the mall for themselves. Amidst the chaos, they must also find a way to survive and defeat the undead menace. The film spawned two remakes and has become one of the most iconic and influential zombie films of all time.
