Dogville is a 2003 experimental drama film written and directed by Lars von Trier. "Hunger" (2008) is a British-Irish drama film directed by Steve McQueen. The film tells the story of Bobby Sands (Michael Fassbender), a member of the Irish Republican Army who led the 1981 hunger strike in the Maze Prison in Northern Ireland. The film follows Sands as he leads a protest against the inhumane treatment of IRA prisoners by the prison's guards. Throughout the film, Sands grows increasingly weak as he struggles with his increasing hunger, and the psychological toll it takes on him.
