The Prestige is a 2006 psychological thriller film directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and Scarlett Johansson. The film follows two rival magicians, Robert Angier (Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Bale), as they vie to create the ultimate magic trick. When a tragic accident occurs during a trick, the two become obsessed with one-upping each other, resorting to unethical and dangerous means to gain the upper hand. They become locked in a dangerous battle of deception that puts their lives and loved ones in jeopardy. With the help of a mysterious figure known as Cutter (Michael Caine), the two must race to uncover each other's secrets and ultimately decide which one of them will have the last laugh.

The Illusionist is a romantic mystery drama set in Austria in the early 1900s. The film follows Eisenheim, a stage magician, who wows audiences with his sleight of hand and mystical illusions. As their romance blossoms, the Crown Prince and the woman become entangled in a dangerous game of deception and ultimately a battle of wills. Eisenheim must now use his tricks and illusions to protect the woman he loves, while the police Chief is determined to expose him as a fraud. As the story unravels, Eisenheim’s magic is put to the test, revealing that his illusions are far more powerful than anyone could have imagined.

The Magician is a 1958 Swedish fantasy film directed by renowned filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Sent to a small town to perform his show, Vogler quickly draws the attention of the skeptical townsfolk who are intrigued by his extraordinary magic tricks. However, as Vogler's show goes on, it becomes increasingly apparent that Vogler is in fact a real sorcerer and not simply a mere stage magician. Soon, Vogler's true power is revealed and the townspeople are confronted with the reality of the supernatural. With his magical powers, Vogler attempts to cure the townspeople's ailments, expose their personal secrets, and bring about a sense of mystery and wonder to the town. The film explores themes of faith, superstition, and the supernatural, as well as Bergman's signature themes of death and isolation.
