The film follows Wallace's life from his early years to his execution in 1305. Wallace leads a popular revolt against English rule in an effort to free Scotland from its oppressive occupation, but is eventually betrayed and captured by the English. Despite facing unspeakable torture and execution, Wallace's courage and bravery inspire his fellow Scots to unite and fight against the English, ultimately leading to Scotland's freedom.

Die Hard with a Vengeance is a 1995 action film directed by John McTiernan and starring Bruce Willis as John McClane and Jeremy Irons as Simon Gruber. The film follows McClane and his reluctant partner, Zeus Carver, as they race around New York City attempting to solve a series of puzzles set by Gruber as part of his criminal master plan. McClane and Carver must prevent Gruber from blowing up the city with a series of bombs he has placed around the city, as well as preventing him from stealing billions of dollars worth of gold bullion from the Federal Reserve Bank. As they work to solve each puzzle, they must also stay ahead of the police, who are intent on arresting McClane for Gruber's crimes. Along the way, they must also deal with a rival terrorist group and their ruthless leader as they try to complete the tasks set by Gruber. In the end, McClane and Carver manage to thwart Gruber's plans and save the city.
