The film follows Jamal’s interactions with the game show host and other characters as he is interrogated by police for cheating on the show. Through flashbacks, the audience discovers how Jamal knows the answers to the questions. Each flashback reveals a piece of his life story, which began in the slums of Mumbai and eventually led him to his current predicament. In the end, Jamal learns the true meaning of destiny and love.

Along the way, they encounter a mysterious masked fighter and a powerful warrior princess with a hidden agenda. Through their journey, the two warriors face numerous obstacles and learn more about themselves and one another. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon remains one of the most acclaimed and commercially successful martial arts films of all time.
