Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean action-horror film directed by Sang-ho Yeon. The film follows a group of passengers on a bullet train from Seoul to Busan as they attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse. The main character, Seok-woo, is a work-obsessed fund manager who is on his way to Busan to meet his daughter, Su-an. Along the way, they are joined by other survivors, including a homeless man, a pregnant woman and her husband, and two elderly sisters. As they travel on the train, they face many obstacles and must fight off the relentless hordes of zombies in order to make it to Busan. Along the way, Seok-woo and his companions learn the importance of compassion and teamwork in the face of disaster. The film was a critical and commercial success, receiving numerous awards and accolades.

The virus turns people into infected “zombies” who have lost all sense of humanity. A handful of survivors, led by the protagonist Jim (Murphy), struggle to find safety and a cure for the virus. The film follows Jim as he battles the infected, searches for survivors, and attempts to rebuild society in the aftermath of the epidemic. Along the way, Jim learns more about the virus, its origin, and how it can be stopped.
