Karras and Merrin must battle the demon within Regan and the evil forces that threaten them all. The film is a shocking and intense exploration of faith, and features numerous scenes of horror and suspense. It remains one of the most widely acclaimed and influential horror films of all time.

Night of the Living Dead is a 1968 American horror film written, directed, and edited by George A. Romero, and starring Duane Jones, Judith O'Dea, and Karl Hardman. The story follows seven people who are trapped in a rural farmhouse in western Pennsylvania, which is under siege by an ever-growing group of cannibalistic zombies attracted to the farmhouse by the sounds of a crying child. The group barricades themselves inside, but as the night progresses, their chances of survival become increasingly slim as the zombies grow ever more powerful and relentless. In the end, only one of the group, Ben (Duane Jones), survives the night, but his victory is short-lived as he is shot and killed by the authorities when they arrive at the scene in the morning. Night of the Living Dead is widely considered to be one of the most influential horror films of all time, paving the way for the zombie genre in film and video games. It is also noted for its social commentary on racism, as Ben is the only African American in the group and suffers the most at the hands of the zombies.
