The Goonies (1985)

The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure comedy film directed by Richard Donner, and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film follows a group of kids in the small town of Astoria, Oregon, who call themselves the Goonies. When the kids discover an old treasure map in the attic of their house, they set off on a thrilling adventure to find the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willie, an infamous 17th-century pirate. The Goonies have to dodge dangerous booby traps, outwit a family of criminals, and survive monstrous creatures on their quest for buried treasure. Along the way, the Goonies face a range of obstacles, and ultimately learn that friendship and loyalty are more valuable than any riches.
