Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, co-produced and co-edited by James Cameron. The film follows the story of Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) as they fall in love aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic during its ill-fated maiden voyage. Despite the warnings of experienced sailor, Captain E.J. Smith (Bernard Hill), the ship collides with an iceberg and begins to sink. With Rose on a lifeboat and Jack still on the doomed ship, the couple must fight for survival as the tragedy of the Titanic unfolds.
