The Sixth Sense is a 1999 American supernatural horror film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Bruce Willis as Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist who attempts to help a young boy, Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), who can see dead people. Malcolm soon realizes that the boy is actually trying to communicate with the dead, and attempts to help him deal with his supernatural abilities. The story follows Malcolm and Cole's journey as they come to terms with the reality of Cole's gift. As the film progresses, it is revealed that Malcolm himself is actually dead and is stuck in the world between the living and the dead. The Sixth Sense is an acclaimed psychological thriller that remains one of Shyamalan's best-known works.
