Night of the Living Dead is a classic 1968 horror film directed by George A. Romero. The story follows a group of seven people who barricade themselves in an old farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania as they try to survive an onslaught of flesh-eating zombies. The group is comprised of Barbra (Judith O’Dea), her brother Johnny (Russell Streiner), and five other strangers: Ben (Duane Jones), Harry (Karl Hardman), Helen (Marilyn Eastman), Tom (Keith Wayne), and Judy (Judith Ridley). As the night wears on, the group must contend with the zombie horde and their own mistrust and paranoia as they fight for their lives. In the end, only Ben survives, only to be shot by the police outside the farmhouse. The film is a classic of the horror genre and has had a major impact on zombie films and horror films in general.
