The Last Waltz is a documentary concert film directed by Martin Scorsese that captures the final performance of The Band at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day in 1976. Interspersed between the performances are interviews that provide insight into the history and personalities of the five members of The Band. In addition to the five members of The Band, the concert features guest performers including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr and many others. The film documents the end of The Band's touring career and explores their musical legacy as well as the impact of the San Francisco music scene in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Stagecoach is a 1939 American Western film directed by John Ford, starring Claire Trevor and John Wayne in his breakthrough role. The film follows a group of travelers in a stagecoach as they journey through dangerous Apache territory in the late 19th century, and their collective struggle to survive against all odds. The travelers, who include a gambler, a prostitute, a doctor, a liquor salesman and a bank teller, must learn to work together in order to make it to their destination. Along the way, they face danger from both the Apache, who are determined to protect their land, and from a band of outlaws. The film is considered a masterpiece of the genre, and was nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning two.
