The Last Waltz is a documentary concert film directed by Martin Scorsese that captures the final performance of The Band at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day in 1976. In addition to the five members of The Band, the concert features guest performers including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr and many others. The film documents the end of The Band's touring career and explores their musical legacy as well as the impact of the San Francisco music scene in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
