E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film tells the story of Elliott (Henry Thomas), who befriends an alien who is stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings (Drew Barrymore and Robert MacNaughton) help the alien, affectionately named "E.T.", evade government agents and return home. Along the way, Elliott learns valuable lessons about friendship and loyalty while experiencing the incredible bond between himself and E.T. The film was a huge commercial and critical success, becoming the highest grossing film of all time, and was nominated for nine Academy Awards, winning four. The movie is considered a classic and has remained popular with audiences of all ages.

Predator is a 1987 American science fiction action horror film directed by John McTiernan and written by Jim and John Thomas. It follows a team of commandos on a mission in Central America who are hunted by an extraterrestrial trophy hunter. The team, led by Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Schwarzenegger), is sent to the remote jungle to rescue hostages held by guerrilla forces. However, they soon discover that something else is hunting them. One by one, the members of the team are killed by an otherworldly creature in a battle for survival. The team eventually comes to realize that the creature only hunts for sport and is seemingly invincible. Dutch and the remaining survivors make a last stand against the creature and are eventually able to defeat it.
