What We Do in the Shadows is a 2019 mockumentary horror comedy directed by Taika Waiti and Jemaine Clement. It follows a group of vampires living in New Zealand who have been roommates for hundreds of years. The film follows the vampires as they contend with the mundane aspects of everyday life, such as paying rent and keeping up with human trends, while also dealing with more supernatural elements, such as attending vampire parties and dealing with werewolves. It also follows their interactions with humans, particularly after the vampires invite a human documentary crew to follow them around and document their lives. The film is full of dark humor and deadpan delivery, making it a must-see for fans of horror comedy.
