Ratatouille is a 2007 American computer-animated film produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film was written and directed by Brad Bird, and co-directed by Jan Pinkava. The film follows Remy, a rat who dreams of becoming a famous chef, despite the skepticism and prejudices of humans. When Remy finds himself in Paris, he joins forces with a young street-smart garbage boy named Linguini to achieve his culinary dreams. Remy and Linguini must learn to work together and overcome their differences in order to become a successful team in the world of haute cuisine. They also must face off against the head chef, Skinner, who is determined to sabotage their efforts. Along the way, they receive help from Remy's family and another rat friend named Emile. With courage and determination, Remy and Linguini are able to prove that even a rat can master the art of cooking.
