Ben-Hur is the story of a wealthy Jewish prince, Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston) living in Judea during the time of Jesus Christ. After being falsely accused of treason by his childhood friend Messala (Stephen Boyd), Judah is enslaved and sent to the galleys. While on his journey, he meets Jesus, who gives him hope. After several years, Judah is able to return to his homeland, where he seeks revenge against Messala. Eventually, Judah is able to use his wealth and influence to win a chariot race and gain his freedom. The film is based on a novel by Lew Wallace and has become one of the most acclaimed films in the history of cinema, winning 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The story highlights themes of friendship, faith, and revenge and has become a beloved classic.

Spartacus is an epic historical drama directed by Stanley Kubrick. As his rebellion grows, the Romans bring in a ruthless general, Crassus, to crush the revolt and restore order. Spartacus and his allies are ultimately defeated in a violent battle, but he dies as a martyr for his cause. The film features a star-studded cast, including Kirk Douglas as Spartacus, Laurence Olivier as Crassus, Tony Curtis as Antoninus, and Charles Laughton as Gracchus. The film won four Academy Awards, including Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.
