Evil Dead II is a comedic horror film directed by Sam Raimi. The film follows Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) and his girlfriend Linda as they travel to a remote cabin in the woods. Once there, they find the Necronomicon, an ancient book of the dead that unleashes a host of demons and spirits. Ash is forced to battle the evil forces, which come to life and possess the living. Along the way, he meets the mysterious and helpful Henrietta, who helps him to fight the malevolent forces. In the end, Ash is able to defeat the evil forces, but not before suffering a gruesome injury. The film is a sequel to the 1981 cult classic The Evil Dead, and is a mixture of horror and comedy that makes it a timeless classic.

Along the way, they uncover a horrific series of murders and a web of lies that Jigsaw has woven in order to manipulate his victims into completing his twisted games. Saw is widely credited with popularizing the "torture porn" subgenre of horror films, and is widely considered one of the most successful horror films of all time.
