An American Werewolf in London is a horror comedy directed by John Landis in 1981. The film follows two American college students, David and Jack, who are on a backpacking trip across Britain when they are attacked by a werewolf. Jack is killed and David survives, only to be plagued by terrifying nightmares and visions of his dead friend. His condition worsens, and it is soon revealed that he is transforming into a werewolf. As David struggles to control his lycanthropic urges, he must contend with both the horror of his transformation and his guilt over Jack's death. With the help of a mysterious doctor, David seeks a cure for his curse. But time is running out, and a full moon is approaching.
